Sayyiduna Thawbaan (Radhiyallahu Anhu) reported: When the verses about gold and silver were revealed, people asked, “What kind of wealth should we acquire?” Sayyiduna Umar (Radhiyallahu Anhu) said, “I will find out for you.” He rode on his camel until he caught up with Nabi Sallallahu Alayhi wa Sallam while I followed him. Sayyiduna Umar (Radhiyallahu Anhu) asked, “O Messenger of Allah, what kind of wealth should we acquire?”
Rasulullah Sallallahu Alayhi wa Sallam replied, “Acquire a grateful heart, a tongue engaged in Zikr (remembering Allah), and a believing wife to help you in the matters of the Hereafter.” (Sunan Ibn Majah)
